Custom Boxes for Unique Products

Products come in all shapes and sizes. That’s why sometimes business owners choose to use custom boxes for their packaging.

With PackM’s selection of folding carton boxes, you should be able to find a box that would fit your products nicely. Our selection includes product, pillow, cube, mailer, lock bottom, and auto lock bottom boxes.

Some of these products have a minimum order quantity of one. That means you can order a sample to see if they’re exactly what you’re looking for in a box before committing to larger quantities.

These boxes would be perfect for candles, jars, clothing, cosmetics, baked treats, and similar items.

Folding Boxes Explained

Which box fold is right for you? It will all depend on your product’s dimensions.

Product boxes are what businesses usually order. These are great for slim but lengthy products like a tube of toothpaste, lotions, creams, and small bottles.

Pillow boxes are ideal for candies, chocolate, wedding favors, small electronics, and cosmetics. Its unique shape makes it stand out from a sea of similar products.

Cube boxes make great packaging for jewelry, craft kits, tea sets, office supplies, toys, candles, and electronics. Because of its wide base, you should be able to stack them on top of each other without running into any issues.

Mailer boxes are great for product unboxing. Its built-in lid makes packaging a breeze. All you need to do is snap the flaps into place and you should be all set.

There are two other folding box options which we’ll discuss below.

Lock Bottom Boxes vs Auto Lock Bottom Boxes

What are the differences between lock bottom and auto lock bottom boxes?

The main difference would be how you assemble each one. With lock bottom boxes, you’d have to manually fold the flaps at the bottom of the box to lock them into place. This is probably fine for businesses that don’t ship that many items at a given time.

Auto-locking boxes have flaps that are already glued together before delivery. When they get to you, all you need is to open it up and place the product in. If you ship a lot of products every day, then this might be the better option for you.

Other differences include pricing and size availability.

Can You Customize the Design of Folding Boxes?

Yes, you can. If you have a design file available, you can just upload it to the site and make tweaks as needed.

Those who don’t have a design just yet can use the PackM Design Tool to make one. It’s very easy to use. You can upload your company logo, add text, and move elements around. You can refer to the live preview to make sure that all your design elements are right where they need to be.
